Spotlight Kids Company Cabaret to Feature Madison Girls

"That Thing Called Love!" takes place Friday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

The Spotlight Kids Company has announced its first cabaret, “That Thing Called Love!” The performance will be held Friday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the cabaret will go to the Madison Community House and the Children’s Theatre Foundation of America. Admission is by freewill donation, and refreshments will be served.

The cabaret will feature 12 girls of Madison in grades 5-8 and will be hosted by Madison eighth grader Luke Bias. Classic and contemporary musical theater songs will be performed.

“This cabaret, with only a month to prepare, has been one of my most fun show experiences. I’ve never been apart of a cabaret before, and I was given a shot to perform with so many amazing performers that I’m proud to not only call a cast, but my second family,” says eighth grader Jasmine Weber, who is set to participate in the cabaret. “In such a short amount of time, we pulled together an amazing lineup of songs and dances that will be sure to make everyone’s heart melt. I can’t wait for everyone to see what we as a team have worked so hard for.”
