Fortune 500: Madison Based Business Makes 2020 List

MADISON, NJ - Fortune Magazine has released its annual list of the 500 top companies in America, and one of those companies are based in Madison.

Fortune ranks companies by total annual revenue and, for the eighth consecutive year, Walmart topped the 2020 list, followed by Amazon and Exxon Mobil. Apple and CVS Health ranked No. 4 and No. 5, rounding out the top five spots on the list.

To put the rankings in context, the 500 companies on the 2020 list make up two-thirds of the total U.S. gross domestic product.

The 500 companies employ 29.2 million people worldwide.

In Madison, Realogy Holdings ranked 490 and posted $5,870,000,000 in profits. According to their website, Reaology is a provider of residential real estate services in the U.S. that is focused on empowering independent sales agents to best serve today's consumers. Realogy's business model includes brokerage, franchising, relocation, mortgage, and title and settlement services, the site said.
