Hunt Is On For Fatal Hit-And-Run Driver In Morris County
A 68-year-old woman was struck on Green Village Road in Madison Friday, officials said. Police want your help to find the car that hit her.
MADISON, NJ - A 68-year-old woman was struck and killed on Green Village Road in Madison Friday and the driver of the vehicle that struck her fled the scene, according to the authorities.
Morris County Prosecutor Frederic Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker and Madison Police Chief Darren Dachisen are asking for the public's assistance in finding the vehicle involved in the accident. The car is described as a 2012-2015 Nissan Rogue, either the basic or select model, with heavy front passenger side damage, police said.
After the crash, the vehicle was last seen continuing north on Green Village Road, making a right onto Kings Road and was last observed traveling eastbound on Kings Road past the Madison Area YMCA at approximately 5:15 p.m., police said

The pedestrian was critically injured in the incident and was pronounced deceased at Morristown Medical Center, and their identity was not released by authorities.
Numerous law enforcement agencies are currently investigating this incident, including the Madison Police Department, the Morris County Prosecutors Office Major Crimes Unit and the Morris County Sheriffs Office.
