Local Group Raises Funds, Awareness for Rare Disorder
Team Cassie participated in the Superhero Half Marathon and Relay on Sunday to raise funds for the Marfan Foundation.
A group of eight area residents participated in the Superhero Half Marathon and Relay Sunday to benefit the Marfan Foundation in honor of a 7-year-old Madison girl.
Team Cassie has raised $52,086 this year for the foundation. Alix and Ezra Jennings formed the team five years ago for their daughter, Cassie, who has Marfan Syndrome, which affects the body's connective tissue.
