Madison Eateries Part of National Dine Out Day

Two Madison eateries are signed up to take part in National Dine Out Day on Wednesday, a fundraiser promoted by Gov. Chris Christie to benefit the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.

Participating restaurants have agreed to donate a portion of their sales Wednesday to the fund.

Poor Herbie's on Waverly Place in the borough will donate 15 percent of its sales Wednesday, owner Judy Mullins said, while QuickChek on Main Street is donating 25 cents for each cup of hot and iced coffee sold. The convenience store chain says all of its 136 stores are participating.
