Madison Man Charged With Stealing From YMCA Lockers
Matthew J. Beltran was arrested after a two month investigation, police said.
MADISON, NJ - A 28-year-old Madison man was arrested and charged with theft from the Madison YMCA after a two month investigation, according to the Madison Police Department.
Detective Julian Morales arrested Matthew J. Beltran on Jan. 15, police said. According to authorities, Madison detectives were investigating reports of thefts from lockers at the Madison YMCA beginning in November 2019. Several victims reported that their lockers inside of the Madison YMCA were entered and items including cash, car keys, and cell phones were missing totaling approximately $1,000, police said.
The investigation led to Beltran being charged with several criminal offenses. Beltran was arrested at his residence by Madison Detectives and charged with three counts of 3rd degree burglary and three counts of theft, police said.

He was later transported to the Morris County Jail where he is awaiting his court appearance in Morris County Superior Court.
