Madison Officers Honored After Saving Person From Cardiac Arrest
Two officers sprung into action after seeing someone suffer a potential seizure at the Madison High School tennis courts.

MADISON, NJ — Two Madison police officers were named employees of the month after saving a person's life. Ptl. Michael Clancy and Ptl. Nelson Jimenez helped a patient suffering a potential seizure Feb. 8 at the high school tennis courts.
Clancy was patrolling near the high school and arrived within seconds. He assessed the patient to determine he was in cardiac arrest. Clancy notified Madison dispatch and began lifesaving measured.
Jimenez arrived shortly after with Madison Ambulance Corps personnel and began assisting with CPR. After the officers used the automated external defibrillator several times, the patient regained a pulse and began breathing on his own.

Authorities brought the patient to Morristown Medical Center, where he continued recovery.
