Madison Officials to Meet with Residents to Discuss Safety Concerns on Central Avenue

The meeting takes place at 1 p.m. in the Trustee Conference Room of Hartley Dodge Memorial Building.

Ray Codey, Madison Borough Administrator, has invitied Chris Vitz, county engineer, the County of Morris Department of Planning and Public Works and Deena Leary, director of planning and public works to meet with the public regarding safety concerns on Central Avenue.

The avenue has been a topic of conversation in Madison when five residents launched a petition, now with 208 signatures, to address perilous crosswalks and the 35 mph speed limit on that road.

Residents have been encouraged to speak out to their representatives. The meeting will take place today at 1 p.m. in the Trustee Conference Room of Hartley Dodge Memorial Building, 50 Kings Road in Madison.
