Madison Picked Booker in Special Senate Election

Borough favored Democratic Newark mayor by about 120 votes.

In Madison, Democratic Newark Mayor Cory Booker received more votes than Republican Steve Lonegan in Wednesday's special U.S. Senate election.

Morris County overall went for Lonegan, where the Tea Party favorite received approximately 56 percent of the vote to Booker's 42 percent.

Statewide, Booker won the election with about 55 percent of the vote.

Cory Booker: 1,622 votes, 51.59%
