Madison Picked Booker in Special Senate Election

In Madison, Democratic Newark Mayor Cory Booker received more votes than Republican Steve Lonegan in Wednesday's special U.S. Senate election.

Morris County overall went for Lonegan, where the Tea Party favorite received approximately 56 percent of the vote to Booker's 42 percent.

Statewide, Booker won the election with about 55 percent of the vote.

Here's how Madison resident voted Wednesday, according to the Morris County Clerk's website:

Steven M. Lonegan: 1,500 votes, 47.71%

Cory Booker: 1,622 votes, 51.59%
