Madison Public Schools Introduces Coronavirus Data Dashboard

The dashboard reveals newly reported cases and the number of cases in each school so far this year.

MADISON, NJ — Madison Public Schools introduced a coronavirus data dashboard. The webpage provides updates on new cases and shows the number of cases reported so far at each school this year.

The district designed the dashboard in response to feedback from the community and Restart Committee, according to Superintendent Mark Schwarz.

"Please note that this analysis shows that our school community is experiencing rates that are similar, if not elevated, as compared to our region," Schwarz said in a letter to the school community. "My message from November 25 which indicated that we were faring better than the region has been revised accordingly."

"While our recommendation to the community has always been to engage in responsible and healthy behaviors, this data increases the urgency of this message," Schwarz said.

The district will no longer send direct messages regarding new cases. Instead they'll update the dashboard in real time and provide a weekly update starting Monday.
