Madison Student Named Outstanding Musician In Morris County

Orchestra instrument player shines at Mayo Performing Arts Center.

MADISON, N.J. – June Sirna is an outstanding orchestra member.

Don’t take our word for it, the Mayo Performing Arts Center has deemed her as such.

Sirna, a seventh-grader at Madison Junior School, was honored in February as an outstanding orchestra student of the month, accompanied by 10 other Morris County students.

Sirna was nominated by her teacher, Kathleen McCormick, who said:

I am choosing June because she has worked incredibly hard so far this year. She has made such improvements in her playing in just a few months and scored near perfect on one of our hardest orchestra excerpts that I gave the violins. I hope that by this nomination, it will inspire and continue to motivate her in playing.
