Madison's Greenwood Avenue Construction Underway
Curb-to-curb overlay will begin Tuesday.

MADISON, NJ - Beginning Tuesday and lasting approximately two weeks Greenwood Avenue, Elmer Street, and Kings Road will be milled and paved now that the PSE&G gas main upgrades are completed. According to officials, the goal is for them to complete this work with minimal impact to residents. Tilcon will be milling, followed by paving, over the full width of the road in an effort to complete the project in a timely manner.
Following Greenwood Avenue, Elmer Street will be milled and paved between Greenwood Avenue and Central Avenue, as the sewer improvement project and PSE&G gas main upgrades are both completed.
In addition to Greenwood Avenue and Elmer Street, Kings Road, between Green Village Road and Prospect Street will be milled and paved as part of the 2018 Mill and Overlay streets.
Work for all roads will be conducted between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Residents are asked to remove cars prior to 7 a.m. Emergency “NO PARKING” will be enforced by the Madison Police Department during construction if vehicles impede progress. Specific scheduling problems may be directed to the office of the Borough Engineer.
