Conley met with first responders, utilities, and other essential departments as storm approaches

MADISON, NJ—Mayor Robert Conley today met with the heads of the town’s emergency services, power department, and public works as Tropical Storm Isaias continues toward the area, promising heavy rain and high winds beginning tomorrow.

"We are ready and prepared for Tropical Storm Isaias," said the mayor, in a statement following the meeting, "all departments that are critical during these times have met and prepared required equipment and personnel."

All departments are currently in "storm prep mode," Conley said, and employees are checking equipment, such as generators, that may be needed. The mayor added that extra drainage and street cleaning is underway to help prevent flooding.
