METC Awarded Grant from the Princeton Area Community Foundation
Grant helps ensure the strength and survival of NJ's arts, cultural, and historical sector.

The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (METC) is pleased to announce that the New Jersey Arts and Culture Recovery Fund of the Princeton Area Community Foundation awarded METC a $10,750 grant.
This grant was created to help ensure the survival and strength of New Jersey’s arts, cultural, and historical sector during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Public and private agencies and organizations, as well as individuals from around the state, helped raise the $2.3 million distributed to arts organizations in New Jersey.
Hundreds of nonprofit organizations, including METC, have experienced severe financial losses that threaten their existence. As with most nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, METC closed to the public for six months in 2020, which severely affected our ability to create revenue, engage our audiences, and fulfill our mission. This statewide recovery fund assisted hundreds of arts, cultural, and historical organizations facing disruption and loss, and we are very appreciative of their support.

These funds will allow us to deliver educational programming to students throughout the state and assist us in ensuring that our museum continues to be a cultural asset.
We are inspired by this generous funding and we see this as an opportunity to view our mission in a new way, embracing new ideas to meet the challenges ahead.
