New Curriculum Director on Board of Ed Agenda
School board to vote on appointing supervisor from Hillsborough.

The Madison Board of Education plans to vote on the appointment of a new director of curriculum and instruction on Tuesday.
The appointment of Matthew Mingle to the post, with a start date of around Aug. 1 and a salary of $130,000, is on the school board meeting agenda.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Madison High School library.
Mingle is the supervisor of social studies and gifted and talented K-12 in Hillsborough.
In May, the Madison Board of Education opted not to reappoint Lee Nittel, the district's last director of curriculum and instruction who is now working as a principal in Randolph, to the position.
As director of curriculum and instruction, Nittel oversaw professional development for teachers, aligned district curriculum with federal standards, and was involved in supervising and evaluating all teachers.
