Outdoor Theater, Fourth of July, Fields Plan This Week
Also in store: VIP concert access for blood donors and a preview of 'Fallen Angels.'

Blood Drive: Donors who go to a blood drive 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Madison Area YMCA will be able to get VIP access for a Warped Tour show. The VIP voucher doesn't grant free access to the concert, but does give donors who buy concert tickets special access to the bands. If Warped Tour's not your thing, then there's always the satisfaction of knowing your donation can help save lives.
Bayley Ellard Fields: Madison's governing body is moving forward with a plan to add a parking lot over a fenced-off, contaminated section of the Bayley Ellard Fields property, and also improve traffic safety there. Look for a story about the plan and some of the history behind it.
July Fourth: The Madison Public Library is closed Thursday for Independence Day. There will be parades, festivities and fireworks next-door to Madison in Chatham and Florham Park.
Outdoor Theater: Under-the-stars performances of William Shakespeare's comedy "As You Like It" continue through July 28 at the amphitheater on the campus of the College of Saint Elizabeth. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey performances are Tuesdays through Sundays at 8:15 p.m., with additional twilight shows on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. Tickets range from $28 to $33 for adults; tickets for ages 18 and under and students are $15. Children under age 5 go for free. For more information call 973-408-5600 or visit ShakespeareNJ.org.
