Motorists are being asked to restrict or relocate vehicles needed to be use between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. when the contractor is active on the street. This will minimize interruption of construction work and allow the contractor to finish as soon as possible, officials said. Temporary parking on a local street within 1,000 feet of work may be anticipated with the cooperation of the police, who will be available for information and assistance at roadway entrance locations, according to officials.
Emergency “NO PARKING” will be enforced by the Police Department during paving if vehicles impede construction progress.
The Madison Police Department can be contacted for traffic information and assistance at 973-593-3000. Callers should let police know their plate number and vehicle location if parking on adjoining street, officials said.
