Snow Continues In Morris County: Road Issues, Snowfall Totals
Morris County has received several inches of snow, and it could continue falling into Friday. Here's what's happening.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Alright, Mother Nature, this is getting old. Morris County has received several inches of snow, and it could continue falling Friday.
The driving conditions created some issues around the area. Officials reported a disabled tractor trailer at 9:38 a.m. Thursday blocking the right lane on Interstate 80 in Mount Olive. A vehicle overturned earlier in Harding Township, but the scene has been cleared for drivers.
A vehicle overturned Thursday morning on Route 287 South at mile marker 29, which falls in the Bernards Township area. Patch reached out to State Police for further detail and will update with any response.

New Jersey State Police responded to 407 crashes and 273 calls for driver aid from 6 a.m. to 2:45 Thursday in their patrol areas.
The National Weather Service reported the following snowfall totals in Morris County as of 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

- Green Pond: 4.0 inches, 2:35 p.m.
- Randolph: 3.9 inches, 2:29 p.m.
- 2 NNE Brookside: 3.8 inches, 12:53 p.m.
- Butler: 3.7 inches, 12:15 p.m.
- Lake Hopatcong: 3.2 inches, 12:14 p.m.
Here's the forecast in Morris County:
- Thursday night: Snow likely before 7pm, then snow and sleet likely between 7pm and 8pm, then snow after 8pm. Low around 25. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Friday: Snow likely before 1pm, then rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Friday night: Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 23. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
- Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
