'Team Cassie' to Run for Madison 7-Year-Old With Genetic Disorder

Eight area runners will participate in the Superhero Half Marathon and Relay Sunday in Morristown.

Team Cassie—a group of eight area runners—will participate on Sunday in the Superhero Half Marathon and Relay for a 7-year-old Madison girl with a genetic disorder.

Alix and Ezra Jennings formed the team for their daughter, Cassie, who has Marfan Syndrome, which affects the body's connective tissue.

This will be the fourth year Team Cassie will participate in the Morristown run for the Marfan Foundation.

Team Cassie has raised $46,738 this year and $218,645 over the past five years for research and awareness for the Marfan Foundation.
