On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 6:02 p.m., a 70-year-old resident of Manalapan Township reported receiving a fraudulent phone call from a subject who identified themselves as an Apple employee. The victim provided the subject with personal information but no monetary loss was reported at this time. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.

On Monday, March 22, 2021, at approximately 8:29 p.m., a 55-year-old resident of Manalapan Township reported that a U-Haul Towing Dolly had been unlawfully removed from Smithburg Road in Manalapan after being detached from his vehicle. Patrolman James Guarino was the responding officer.

On Sunday, March 21, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Patrolman James Guarino responded to Symmes Road in Manalapan Township for a report of a disabled vehicle. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Lindsay Papa, a 39-year-old unmarried female resident of Ocean Township, who works as an animal control employee, was found to be driving while intoxicated, and was also involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash involving a parked vehicle. Ms. Papa was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. She was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.

On Sunday, March 21, 2021, at approximately 5:23 p.m., a 35-year-old resident of Manalapan Township reported that a small business loan was opened up in his name without his knowledge. Patrolman James Guarino took the report.

On Sunday March 21, 2021, at approximately 2:27 a.m., employees of the Quick Chek convenience store, located at 45 Smithburg Road in Manalapan Township reported that an unidentified male subject entered the store, loaded his shopping basket with various items, and proceeded to leave without paying for the items. When approached by an employee, the unidentified male subject threatened the employee, advising them he was armed with a knife. No weapon was shown. Patrolman James Guarino took the initial report, which is pending further investigation. On Friday, March 19, 2021, at approximately 11:46 a.m., a 40-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) attempted to gain access to his personal information through a phishing phone scam. No monetary loss was reported. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

On Friday, March 19, 2021, at approximately 9:36 a.m., a 64-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) gained access to his personal information in an attempt to access their bank account. No monetary loss was reported. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

On Thursday, March 18, 2021, at approximately 10:08 a.m., a 69-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) applied for unemployment benefits through the State of New Jersey Department of Labor using their personal information. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman James Joiner handled the report.

On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at approximately 6:48 p.m., Patrolman Philip Accatatta responded to Tennent Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The driver, identified as Philip A. Tortoreti, a 73-year-old divorced resident of Monroe Township, who is employed as an attorney, was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and released after being issued summonses.

On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at approximately 2:05 p.m., a 69-year-old resident of Manalapan Township responded to police headquarters to report a fraud. In March of 2021, an unknown actor opened a cellular service account without her authorization and purchased merchandise. No monetary loss was incurred as a result of this incident.
