New Manalapan Theater Company Debuts Original Musical

Dubbed "Waiting For Schlotsky," the all-ages performance will run from July 17 to 25 at the recreation center.

MANALAPAN, NJ – Calling all lovers of the theater: Manalapan’s newest troupe is ready to debut with an original comedy-musical later this month.

The new Misfits Theatre Company - formed earlier this year to boost local entertainment offerings in the region while providing a unique outlet for local adult thespians - will perform its original “Waiting for Schlotsky” July 17 to 25 at the Manalapan Recreation Center’s Dreyer Pavilion Lawn (see below for showtime details).

The musical theatre revue was written by James Barone, Tina Barone, and Helene Montagna and is based on the film "Waiting for Guffman." The performance features Broadway favorites such as “Another Op’nin,’ Another Show,” “I Got Rhythm,” “A Million Dreams” and “Too Darn Hot.”
