Attempted $4K Shoplifting at Eye Chic

The Manalapan Police Department is investigating a shoplifting at Eye Chic, located within the Epicentre Shopping Center on Route 9 South, which took place on July 26. 

Three men entered the store shortly before 4 p.m. and one of the men asked the optician for an adjustment on his glasses, according to police. While the man was asking for the adjustment, the two other men went to the opposite ends of the store. One of the men unlocked a glass case that was left in the lock and removed five Fred Lunettes glasses, police said. The glasses are valued at $4,400. 

According to police, the optician confronted the man who removed the glasses and he denied taking them and all three men left the store. The woman contacted the Manalapan Police Department, who processed the scene and are investigating the attempted shoplifting.
