On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Manalapan patrol officers were dispatched to a business located on Route 527 in Manalapan for a report of an alarm activation. Upon further investigation, it was determined that an unknown actor(s) unlawfully forced entry through the front door of the business and removed both a cash register and a various amounts of cash. Patrolman Matthew Mattia handled the initial report, which is pending further investigation. On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at approximately 6:10 p.m., a 54-year-old Manalapan resident, reported that he purchased a vehicle and received an invalid title of ownership. Patrolman James Guarino was the responding officer.

On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at approximately 2:23 p.m., employees of the CVS located at 120 Woodard Road reported a shoplifting incident. The manager of CVS reported that an individual had shoplifted $11.29 worth of batteries and left the store. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the incident, which is pending the signing of criminal complaints.
On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at approximately 2:06 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Peter Kamel, a 25-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Old Bridge, NJ, who is employed as a sales manager, was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the East Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of $304.00. Mr. Kamel was arrested and transported to Manalapan
Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

On Monday, March 1, 2021, at approximately 2:04 p.m., a 70-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that they were the victim of a phone scam. No monetary loss was incurred. Patrolman Ryan Brady took the report.
On Saturday, February 27, 2021, at approximately 8:56 p.m., Patrolman Jeremy Slad responded to Sportica located at 150 Woodward Road after receiving a 9-1-1 call. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 49-year-old resident of East Brunswick and a 32-year-old resident of New Brunswick were involved in a physical altercation. This incident is pending further investigation.
On Saturday, February 27,2021, at approximately 5:16 p.m., a 78-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor obtained their bank account information and made a withdrawal in the amount of $2,000.00.
Patrolman Slad handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Saturday, February 27, 2021, at approximately 4:53 a.m., Patrolman Brian Schank responded to Eye Chic, located at 55 Route 9 South, for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that unknown actors had forcibly entered the business and removed approximately $22,000.00 worth of merchandise.

On Friday, February 26,2021, at approximately 7:07 p.m., a 78-year-old Manalapan resident reported that sometime between 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., an unknown actor removed a package valued at $2,107.00 from the front door of an Amberly Drive residence. Patrolman Jeremy Slad took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Friday, February 26, 2021, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a 71-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked vehicle overnight. Nothing was reported taken or damaged during the incident. Ptl. Charles Alaimo handled the initial report, which is pending further investigation.
On Friday, February 26, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler made contact with a representative from Buffalo Biodiesel, which is a company located in New York State that collects used cooking oil from restaurants. The company reported the theft of used cooking oil valued at $508.00 from a container outside of a Romeo’s Pizza located at 130 State Highway 33. The theft occurred sometime between December 2020 and February 25, 2021.
On Friday, February 26, 2021, at approximately 1:49 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that two vehicles were entered overnight on Glendale Dr. Unknown actor(s) entered two unlocked vehicles, but no items were removed from the vehicles. Patrolman Ross Dessel handled the incident, which is pending further investigation.
On Friday, February 26, 2021, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 37-year-old and a 44-year old Manalapan resident reported that vehicles parked at residences on Briar Hill Drive were burglarized during the overnight hours. No items were reported missing from the vehicles. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report, which is pending further investigation. Residents are reminded to not leave valuables in their vehicles and to make sure all vehicles are locked, especially during the overnight hours.
On Friday, February 26, 2021 at approximately 8:13 a.m., a 58-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported three vehicles were entered overnight on Meadow Court. Unknown actor(s) entered the unlocked vehicles and removed a wallet and $80 in cash from the vehicles. Patrolman Ross Dessel took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Friday, February 26, 2021 at approximately 10:43 a.m., a 53-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported her vehicle was damaged by an unknown white male actor. The actor threw a snow shovel at the victim’s vehicle causing damage. This incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.
On Friday, February 26, 2021, at approximately 9:00 a.m., a 32-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unlocked vehicle was entered overnight on Taylors Mills Road. The investigation revealed that no items were removed from the vehicle. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report, which is pending further investigation.
