Cars Burglarized at Franklin Lane Commuter Lot
Two car burglaries took place at the commuter lot and another car was burglarized on Notting Hill Court.

The Manalapan Police Department has reported three car burglaries in the township recently, two of which took place at the Franklin Lane Commuter Lot.
A driver’s side window on a car was smashed out while parked in the Franklin Lane Commuter Lot on Nov. 26. The owner of the vehicle, a 66-year-old man from Morganville, told police that he parked the car in the lot at 5:45 a.m. and when he arrived at his car around 8 p.m. he saw the damage. According to police, it is unknown if anything was stolen from the car.
While Ptl. Anthony Cascella was investigating the incident of the broken car window, he observed a car in the lot that was raised up on jacks and missing all four tires. Cascella contacted the 26-year-old owner of the car to let him know his car was burglarized. It is unknown by police if anything other than the rims and the tires of the car were stolen.

On Dec. 1, police responded to a Notting Hill Court home for a report of a burglarized vehicle. The unlocked car was parked in an unsecured garage. According to police, various personal belongings valued at $7,700 were stolen from the vehicle.
Police responded to the home at around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, but the victim, a 26-year-old woman, told police that the theft took place between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 30. Additionally, the vicitm’s credit card’s were stolen and fraudulent purchases totaling $603.65 were made to her cards.
