Congressman Chris Smith "Leadership We Can Trust'?

Chris Smith's Constituents can expect the same level of representation they have had for 40 years.

Congressman Chris Smith just won his twentieth term in Congress. Smith’s slogan is “Leadership We Can Trust.” What kind of Smith leadership can we trust ?

Since Smith will continue to live in Herndon, Virginia, his full-time home of over thirty-fire years, we can trust that Smith will continue to be an absentee Congressman. Smith will visit New Jersey for fundraising, photo-ops and ribbon cuttings as he's done for three decades.

Smith will continue to work hard to outlaw birth control and criminalize abortion. Smith has been consistently leading the Congressional charge to strip women of their basic human rights for 40 years and we can trust that he will continue.

We can trust that Smith who said “I do not construe homosexual rights to be human rights” will vote to strip LGBTQ folks of their human rights.

Smith claims he’s a moderate but we can trust Smith will choose party over Country. We watched right wing, white supremacists in Nazi paraphernalia attack our Capitol and Smith baselessly claimed it was Antifa – a lie. Smith promoted the mistruths that caused the riots. Then Smith would not vote to impeach the man that caused the insurrection.

Smith has set his social media accounts so he cannot be held accountable. Smith has not had Town Hall in a quarter century. He is inaccessible. Smith will continue to use his taxpayer funded Newsletter to mislead voters. We can trust in Chris Smith’s LACK of leadership.
