Gordons Corner Road Repaving Project In Manalapan Postponed: PD

MANALAPAN, NJ - The overnight road closure detour for Gordons Corner Road has been rescheduled for a third time, authorities said Thursday.

A portion of Gordons Corner Road in Manalapan will be closed to vehicular traffic this week and next due to road repaving work. Detours are anticipated to be put in place starting April 12 until April 14 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., police said.

Gordons Corner Road will be closed in the area of Conmack Lane and Pease Road. Residents are urged to plan an alternate route. Those who live in the area will be able access their residences, Manalapan police said.

"We are sorry for the inconvenience but the contractor just notified the Police Department that the paving scheduled to begin tonight has been rescheduled to begin on Monday, April 12th," Manalapan Township wrote in a Facebook post.

The repaving was initially scheduled from April 7 to 9, a plan that was later changed to April 8 to 9 and then on April 12. It was not immediately clear why the project was postponed.
