High School Student creates TEDx Event inspiring Teen Leadership
On June 1st, TedxYouth@Manalapan will premiere, highlighting successful teen voices that challenge the status quo.

After searching for ways to get involved in her community, high school sophomore, Rachel Osias, took the initiative to inspire teen leadership. In July of 2020, Rachel applied for a TEDx license and started curating speakers and a TEDx team. TedxYouth@Manalapan has now expanded outside her community with 6 speakers across the United States inspiring teens to create change. TedxYouth@Manalapan will feature speakers such as Masterchef Junior winner Logan Guleff and Serial Entrepreneur Taylor Price.
TedxYouth@Manalapan presents Lead by Example: an event dedicated to highlighting successful voices with lives that challenge the status quo. From cooking to personal finance to anti-bullying campaigns, TedxYouth@Manalapan explores what it means to be a youth leader. Our mission is to inspire Gen Zs and Millennials to take initiative and create change in their communities.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
