A Love Letter To Rob

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Kathy Petillo’s Valentine’s Day poem to her husband, Rob:

To my forever Valentine with love:

Girls’ night out at “City Lights”
Met an incredible guy, what a delight!
He smiled at me, and asked me to dance.
As he held me tight, I knew it was true
Romance!

From our very first kiss, we began to date,
Soon a proposal, I knew it was fate.
We had a big wedding, with family and friends,
From that day forward, our life began!

Lived in Staten Island, in a cozy place,
Got a dog named Buddy, and started to save.
Bought a home in Jersey, with a pool and fence,
Started a family and hoped it would never end.

Soon came Melissa, and Robby right behind,
Our home was full of love, for a very long time!
Then came Niki, who all of us love and adore,
She’s the sweetest dog, she makes you want
More!

I knew from the start, Rob was the one for me,
Anyone that knows us would certainly agree!
He’s the best husband, dad, partner and friend
And I truly know our love will never end!
