Manalapan 6th Grader Sings National Anthem For First Time In Public

Watch Ava Wilmot sing the National Anthem at the Manalapan Jr. Pee Wee Game this Sunday

MANALAPAN, NJ-- Local sixth grader Ava Wilmot sang the National Anthem for the first time publically Sunday, wowing the crowd at the Manalapan Jr. Pee Wee football game.

The 11-year-old has plenty of other singing experience, but this was her first time tackling the challenging song. Wilmot's first performance was singing Adele's One and Only at the Freehold Lutheran Church when she was seven.

She is a member of the St. Joseph's Church Millstone Choir, and can sing in both English and German. Wilmont also has acting experience, having starred as the Witch in Into The Woods.

When she's not attending Pine Brook School and singing, Wilmont also plays travel soccer, travel basketball, and plays the violin.

After the success of Sunday's performance, Wilmot was invited to sing the National Anthem at an upcoming cheer competition in Trenton by American Youth Football Board.
