Manalapan Mailbox Valued at $2K Vandalized

The expensive mailbox was spray painted with lime green paint.

Manalapan police are investigating the vandalism of an approximately $2,000 mailbox which took place in late August. The mailbox, located at the curb on Astor Drive, was spray painted with two lime green circles. 

The two circles were spray painted on the front of the mailbox and on the post, according to police. The owner of the mailbox, a 48-year-old man, told police that the vandalism took place at some point between Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. and Aug. 27 at 4:30 p.m., police said.

The Manalapan Police Department are asking that anyone with information on this incident contact the police department at 732-446-4300.
