Manalapan Police Allegedly Find Drug Paraphernalia on Wanted Man

The Toms River man was wanted from the Ocean County Sheriff's Office for child support.

Manalapan police arrested a Toms River man after an investigation revealed that he was a wanted person from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for child support, had a suspended driver’s license, and was in possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. 

William Ventura, 55, was driving on Route 9 North in Manalapan on Nov. 7 when he was pulled over by police at around 8 a.m. Police soon learned that Ventura was wanted out of Ocean County and was driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was arrested and transported to the Manalapan Police Department. 

While Ventura was being searched at police headquarters, officers uncovered items that are used to hold heroin, according to police. Ventura was charged with a motor vehicle summons, a criminal summons, and then turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office after he was unable to post $31,407.86 in bail. According to jail records, Ventura is no longer being held in Ocean County Corrections.
