Manalapan Police Arrest Stop & Shop Razor Blade Thief
The man involved in three shoplifting incidents from the Manalapan Stop & Shop was arrested Wednesday.

The Manalapan Police Department have made an arrest in connection with the recent razor thefts from the Route 9 Stop & Shop.
On July 20, police responded to the Stop & Shop to follow up on the shoplifting incidents that have taken place over the last few months.
A large quantity of razors were stolen from the supermarket on July 5, July 11, and June 28, according to police. Police said that $1,005.21 worth of razors were stolen on June 29, $451.05 worth of razors were stolen on July 5, and $616.07 worth of razors were stolen on July 11.

According to a police investigation, Ofir Chait, 37, of Manalapan, was found to be the suspect involved in these thefts. Chait reportedly used a juvenile to help him commit the thefts, police said.
A warrant was issued for Chait’s arrest and he turned himself in on Wednesday, Capt. Michael Fountain said.
