MANALAPAN, NJ - A Quick Chek convenience store in Manalapan was robbed by an unidentified subject earlier this month, authorities said.

At approximately 2:27 a.m. on March 21, employees at the Smithburg Road location reported that an unidentified male entered the store, loaded his shopping basket with various items, and proceeded to leave without paying for the items.

When approached, the subject threatened one employee during the incident, advising that he was armed with a knife, authorities said. No weapon was shown.
