Manalapan Township Committee Special Meeting Tonight

1. Weather: Today will be mostly cloudy with a high temperature around 83, according to the National Weather Service. There is a 60 percent of rain showers and a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Tonight will be cloudy with the low dropping to around 71; the chance for rain persists. 

2. Government: A special Township Committee meeting is scheduled to meet in the courtroom of the Manalapan Municipal Building tonight at 5:30 p.m.  For the Township Committee meeting agenda, click here

The Planning Board meeting, originally scheduled to meet in the courtroom of the Manalapan Municipal Building on Thursday at 8 p.m., has been canceled.

  • The Teen Leadership Committee is meeting in the downstairs section of the police department within the Manalapan Municipal Building on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. 
  •  The Municipal Agriculture Advisory Committee is meeting in room 213 of the Manalapan Municipal Building on Thursday at 7 p.m.

3. Corn Presentation: Historian, educator, speaker, and restaurant consultant Judith Krall-Russo will be holding a free presentation on corn entitled, “Corn - Simply A-Maize-ing!” on Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Monmouth County Library. Krall-Russo will be speaking about the six main kinds of corn and talk about the history of the ancient food that was highly valued by Native North Americans, Incas, and Aztecs. She will speak out its history, ancient folklore and importance among New Jersey’s modern farmers. No registration is required.
