Monmouth County Certifies Manalapan Election Night Results
Susan Cohen and Jack McNaboe held their seats on the township committee while local Board of Education results also became official.
MANALAPAN, NJ - The Monmouth County Board of Elections has certified ballot counts this week, making the results from Election Night in Manalapan official.
The Monmouth County Board of Elections has completed the counting of the mail-in and provisional ballots, and the County Clerk's Election Office has certified the General Election results to the Secretary of State,” the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office announced Wednesday.
“384,251 ballots were cast in Monmouth County resulting in a record-breaking 82.4% voter turnout for the 2020 General Election.”

In the race for the Manalapan Township Committee, incumbents Mayor John McNaboe and Deputy Mayor Susan Cohen, both Republicans, were successful in holding onto their council positions, officially winning by the following margins:
SUSAN COHEN: 34.01 percent, 16,638 votes
JACK MCNABOE: 32.54 percent, 15,919 votes
LAWRENCE J. FURMAN: 17.27 percent, 8,450 votes
BASHIR MOHAMMAD: 16.17 percent, 7,908 votes

The final results for the Manalapan Board of Education, with three seats open, are as follows:
JOHN D’AMATO: 29.10 percent, 13,510 votes
RYAN URGO: 24.76 percent, 11,497 votes
SUNIL POLEPALLI: 18.57 percent, 8,621 votes
DOROTHY PORCARO: 27.49 percent, 12,762 votes
