Municipal and School Reorganization Meetings this Week

Government

The Manalapan Township Committee is holding their reorganization meeting in the courtroom of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 7 p.m. on Monday. 

The Manalapan Planning Board is holding their reorganization meeting in the courtroom of the Manalapan Township Municipal Building at 7 p.m. on Thursday. After the resolutions appointing the professionals and Chair are made, a public meeting will follow. The two resolutions on the agenda refer to a minor site plan at Rudder Realty and a preliminary and final site plan approval for the Olde Silver Tavern. 

Christmas Tree Pick-Up

Tuesday is the first day that Christmas trees will be collected by the Department of Public Works. Please place them curbside. The next Christmas tree collection dates will be on Jan. 14 and Jan. 21. 

Schools

The Freehold Regional School District Board of Education is holding their reorganization meeting at the district administration building, located at 11 Pine Street in Englishtown, at 8 p.m. on Monday.

The Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education is holding their reorganization meeting at the district administration building, located at 54 Main Street in Englishtown, at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.  

Beginner Yoga

The Monmouth County Library is holding a Yoga for Beginners class at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. If your New Year’s Resolution is to get fit - than this is the perfect way to start. Steven Russell, a certified teacher of Dharma Yoga will be running the program, which is only open for adults. Please be sure to bring a mat or a large towel to the class. More beginner yoga classes will take place at the library on Jan. 8, 15, 22, and 29.
