MANALAPAN, NJ - Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all crimes and arrests from May 19 to 25.

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a 52-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being harassed by a 69-year-old Manalapan resident. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the responding officer.

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at approximately 3:17 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that three PNC Bank online accounts had been opened in the victim’s name. The resident was able to close the accounts and incurred no monetary loss. This incident was handled by Patrolman Jason Vigneault.

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 12:15 p.m., Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on Towne Drive after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Eduardo Taveras, a 22-year-old unmarried male resident of Paterson, NJ, who is employed as a delivery driver, was found to have two warrants issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $2,000.00. Mr. Taveras was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan
Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.

On Monday, May 24, 2021, at 4:24 p.m., a 62-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor used the victim’s personal information to file an unemployment claim. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jason Vigneault took the report.

On Monday, May 24, 2021, at 3:23 p.m., a 72-year-old Manalapan Township resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported paying a 53-year-old resident of Lake Hopatcong $3,644.00 in August 2020 to install a generator, but the services were never provided. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Monday, May 24, 2021, at 10:38 a.m., Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 in Manalapan after a motor vehicle violation was observed. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Amir Davis, a 20-year-old unmarried male resident of Irvington, NJ, who is employed as a forklift operator, was found to be in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen from Tinton Falls, NJ. Mr. Davis was placed under arrest and
transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with receiving stolen property. He was subsequently turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.

On Monday, May 24, 2021, at 12:19 a.m., a 42-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor threw a rock at a vehicle that was parked in a driveway of a Fawn Run residence, resulting in damage to the driver’s side door. Patrolman Christopher Schou handled the incident.

On Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 8:45 p.m., employees of the Target Department store located at 55 Route 9 South in Manalapan reported that an unknown actor utilized a fraudulent credit card to purchase visa gift cards. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 7:34 p.m., employees of the Target department store located at 55 Route 9 South reported that an unknown actor reported a missing phone. A phone was given to the suspect that he indicated belonged to him and he subsequently fled the scene. The phone actually belonged to a 20-year-old Marlboro Township resident. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Saturday, May 22, 2021, at approximately 11:21 a.m., a 42-year-old South Plainfield resident reported that he was being harassed by a 42-year-old Englishtown resident on Sanford Street. As of this date, no complaints have been signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Ross Dessel handled the report.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 9:49 p.m., a 71-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being harassed by a neighbor on Kelso Place. This incident is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman James Guarino took the report.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 6:20 p.m., a 21-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported being harassed by a 24-year-old Manalapan Township resident and a 25-year-old Manalapan Township resident while at a Kelso Place residence. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. The report was handled by Patrolman Sean McCarthy.

On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at approximately 7:41 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on County Road 522 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Anthony Colantoni, a 29-year-old, unmarried male resident of Manalapan, NJ, who is employed as a mechanic, was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Parsippany Municipal Court in the amount of $250.00. Mr. Colantoni was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
