Route 9 Paving in Manalapan Begins Aug. 12
The paving is expected to begin next week.

Route 9 in Manalapan Township will be paved by the New Jersey Department of Transportation beginning the week of Aug. 12. The section of Route 9 that will be paved is a 14-mile stretch from the vicinity of Kearny Road in Sayreville reaching to the area of Symmes and Ryan Roads in Manalapan.
The bulk of the paving, being conducted by Intercounty Paving Associates, will be done during the overnight hours between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.; the paving work requires lane closures and some interchanges to close and be detoured.
Please pay attention to all of the temporary detours that are posted during the construction. All road lanes will be open to traffic during the day.
