Manalapan police are investigating several theft cases.
According to a news release from Deputy Chief Michael Fountain:
On Oct. 4 around 7:02 p.m. Officer Mark Casagrande responded to the area of Smithburg Road for a report of a stolen wallet. The victim, a 32-year-old Manalapan woman reported that her wallet was stolen from a residence. The wallet was stolen between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m.. The wallet, described as a brown wallet with the picture of the Virgin Mary on both sides, contained $150 in cash, as well as her identification. Officer Mark Casagrande is handling the investigation.

On Oct. 4, at 11:50 a.m. Officer Jeff Emslie responded to Chestnut Way for a reported theft from a motor vehicle. The victim a 41-year-old Manalapan woman, related that someone removed several items from her vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. The incident took place during the overnight hours on this date. The loss valued at $104.00.
On Oct. 4 at 11:15 a.m. police responded to Atrium Way for a reported theft from a motor vehicle. The victim a 24-year-old Manalapan woman related that someone removed her pink Michael Kors purse from her unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. The incident took place during the overnight hours on this date. The purse was valued at $400. Officer Ross Dessel took the report.
