On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at approximately 6:02 p.m., a 60-year-old resident of Manalapan Township reported that a co-worker removed valuable collector’s items from his office. The items were estimated to be approximately $6,100.00. Patrolman James Guarino took the report, which is pending further investigation.
On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at approximately 9:29 a.m., a 30-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) utilized his personal information to make an application for a line of credit at a bank. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.

On Monday, March 8, 2021, at approximately 10:15 a.m., a 67-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported an unknown actor received a loan for $987.00 in his name in August of 2019. Patrolman Kyle Earley handled the report.
On Sunday, March 7, 2021, at approximately 9:08 p.m., a 22-year-old Freehold Township resident reported that an unlocked 2020 BMW M340 was unlawfully taken from a Whitlock Court residence. Residents are reminded to remove all valuables from their vehicles and to make sure that all vehicles are locked when unattended. Patrolman Makwinski took the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Saturday, March 6, 2021, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Patrolman James Guarino conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 South for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, Kumar Sharma, a 49-year-old divorced male resident of Monroe Township, who is employed by a trucking company, was found to be driving while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
On Saturday, March 6, 2021, at approximately 7:07 p.m., a 31-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that their personal information was utilized to open several bank accounts. There was no reported monetary loss. Patrolman James Guarino handled the incident.
On Saturday, March 6, 2021, at approximately 2:52 p.m., a 39-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that they paid an unknown actor $4,999.00 for a designer bag on an online marketplace application and never received the item. Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the report.
On Sunday, March 6, 2021, at approximately 2:27 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Mario Murga-Cardoso, a 30-year-old, married, male, resident of Hillside, NJ, who is employed as a delivery driver, was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Piscataway Township Municipal Court in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Murga-Cardoso was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and
released after receiving a new court date. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
On Saturday, March 6, 2021, at approximately 9:07 a.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) attempted to gain access to their online account and obtain personal information. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.
On Friday, March 5, 2021, at approximately 9:09 p.m., patrol officers responded to Target department store located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan Township for a report of a shoplifting that was in progress. During the course of this investigation, Taquil Brown, a 21-year-old unmarried, unemployed, male resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was located and found to have an active criminal warrant issued for his arrest out of Pennsylvania. Brown was arrested and
processed at the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters before he was turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending extradition. Criminal complaints were signed for being a fugitive from justice, and shoplifting. This case is pending court. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.
On Friday, March 5, 2021, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a 30-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that the receipts from 4 separate purchases which she did not make were displayed in her personal email account. There was no financial loss incurred and there were additional 300 suspicious emails also observed in the victims account. Patrolman Meyler handled the incident.
On Friday, March 5, 2021, at approximately 4:01 p.m., a 56-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that one of her bank checks was deposited into an unknown account. The victim reported a loss of $2,600.00. This incident was handled by Patrolman Jason Vigneault.
On Thursday, March 4, 2021, at approximately 9:16 a.m., Patrolman Anthony Cascella responded to a Freehold Road residence for a report of a subject trespassing on their neighbor’s property. The suspicious person stopped to inquire into buying a trailer that was located at the residence. It was later determined that the trailer was never for sale. Nothing was reported missing from the property. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the incident.
On March 3, 2021, at approximately 10:08 a.m., patrols located an ATM machine that was forced open and damaged by unknown actor(s). A 59-year-old resident of Manalapan Township reported that $940.00 was removed from the machine sometime between March 2, 2021 and March 3, 2021. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the incident, which is pending further investigation.
On March 3, 2021 at approximately 8:40 a.m., patrols responded to the Englishtown Auction located at 90 Wilson Avenue in Manalapan for a report of an ATM machine that was forced into with cash stolen from the machine. Unknown actor(s) forced open the machine and removed $3,860.00 cash owned by a Jackson business. This incident occurred sometime between March 2, 2021 and March 3, 2021. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the incident.
