On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at approximately 11:04 a.m., Manalapan Township Recreation Center Staff reported that an unknown actor(s) damaged two electrical boxes and a wooden picnic table valued at approximately $600.00. This incident was believed to have occurred sometime during the afternoon and/or evening hours of May 10, 2021. Patrolman Jeffery Emslie handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Monday, May 10, 2021, at approximately 8:06 p.m., a 51-year-old Freehold Township resident reported he was harassed by a 47-year-old resident of Fords, NJ in the Covered Bridge Development. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.

On Monday, May 10, 2021, at approximately 7:59 p.m., a 61-year-old Manalapan
Township resident reported being harassed by a 47-year-old resident of Fords, NJ in the Covered Bridge Development. This incident is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.

On Monday, May 10, 2021, at approximately 6:16 p.m., a 78-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that on May 6, 2021, at approximately 10:30 a.m., they received a call from an unknown subject identifying themselves as the family member in need of bail money. The victim subsequently sent $6,500.00 to the unknown actor(s). Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report.

On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a Manalapan Township resident of the Meadow Creek Development reported that unknown subjects vandalized several trees on the walking trail near Inwood Drive with spray paint. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a 36-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that unknown subject(s) vandalized two vehicles between 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021, and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2021 while parked on Heron Court. Patrolman Jared Coupland handled the report.

On Sunday, May 9, 2021, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Manalapan Township resident of the Meadow Creek Development reported that unknown subjects vandalized trees on the walking trail near Inwood Drive with spray paint. Patrolman Kyle Earley handled the report, which is pending further investigation.

On Friday, May 7, 2021, at approximately 1:54 p.m., Target loss prevention personnel responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that on May 1, 2021, a 32-year-old female resident of Newark, NJ, shoplifted items valued at $832.90 from the store, located at 55 Route 9 South in Manalapan. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a 43-year-old Long Valley resident reported that her identification was fraudulently used in Manalapan by an unknown actor(s) who attempted to withdraw money from the victim’s financial account. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.

On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at approximately 2:23 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Smallwood Lane for a structure fire. The residence was evacuated and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The Gordons Corner, Manalapan Township, Howell Township, Marlboro, and East Freehold Fire Departments responded and assisted in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire appeared to be accidental in nature. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the initial investigation report.

On Thursday, May 6, 2021, at approximately 11:17 a.m., a 74-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor(s) used their personal information to create a fake check which they utilized in an attempt to withdraw $4,900.00 from the victim’s bank account. Ptl. Jeffrey Emslie handled the report

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at approximately 7:42 p.m., a 36-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that their debit card information was fraudulently used to purchase several items online valued at $1,170.00. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 3:04 p.m., a 44-year-old Freehold Township resident reported being a victim of a burglary / theft. The victim reported that an unknown actor removed a trailer and landscape equipment valued at approximately $6,000.00 from a storage shed located on Mount Vernon Road. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the report, which is pending further
investigation.

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 9:24 a.m., a 49-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that they paid $4,150.00 for services from a business that were not completed nor attempted. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the initial report, which is pending further investigation.
