Today is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a federal holiday which honors the life of the great Reverand Martin Luther King, Jr. and his significant impact in the Civil Rights Movement.

Government: All federal, state, and local government offices are closed today. 

Post Office: All post offices are closed today and there will be no mail delivery. 

Library: Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan Township, and all libraries within the Monmouth County Library system, will be closed. 

Schools: The Freehold Regional School District and the Manalapan-Englishtown School District is closed today. 

Banks: Most banks are closed today. 

Businesses: Retail stores are open at the owner’s discretion. The majority of supermarkets, convenience stores, gas stations, and restaurants are open for regular business hours.
