Republicans John McNaboe and Susan Cohen will seek to keep their seats against Democrats Kenneth Fischler and Barry Karen.

MANALAPAN, NJ — In the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, who can forget 2020 is an election year? And it's not just at the presidential level, as President Trump seeks to secure a second term.

In Manalapan, there are two seats open on the Township Committee: Mayor John McNaboe and Deputy Mayor Susan Cohen will seek to keep their seats.

McNaboe and Cohen are both Republicans, and incumbents (already in office).

They will be challenged by Democrats Kenneth Fischler and Barry Karen.

The primary election has been pushed back to July 7. But the primary is not contested in Manalapan as there are two Democrats and two Republicans running for two seats. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
