Belmar Police Participating In DEA National Take Back Day
Dispose of your expired, unused and unwanted Rx drugs for free and anonymously at Belmar Police Headquarters on Saturday, April 27.

The Belmar Police Department is participating in the the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on April 27, 2019. Residents may drop off used, unwanted, or expired medications confidentially and anonymously at Belmar Police headquarters between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
According to the DEA, during its October 2018 Take Back Day, Americans turned in nearly 460 tons (more than 900,000 pounds) of prescription drugs at more than 5,800 sites operated by the DEA and almost 4,800 of its state and local law enforcement partners. Overall, in its 16 previous Take Back events, DEA and its partners have taken in almost 11 million pounds—nearly 5,500 tons—of pills.
The Belmar Police Department is located at 601 Main Street. Participating collection sites can only accept medicines in pill or patch form (please, no liquids or needles/sharps).
