Smiles by the Sea dental practice, located at 611 Main Street in Belmar, New Jersey, is the first-place winner in the Belmar Business Partnership’s (BBP) new holiday-themed business-decorating contest. The contest, which was timed to coincide with the Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade, was launched by the BBP’s new Retail Programs Committee in 2018.

Two Belmar businesses tied for second place in the contest: Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More, located at 801 Main Street, Unit 1H (enter via Belmar Plaza), and Fancy Formals Boutique, located at 923 Main Street. Each business won a $25 gift card to a Belmar merchant of its choice.

According to Pat Tecza, chair of the BBP’s Retail Programs Committee, “In total, eight Belmar businesses took part in the contest. Entries were ranked on a scale of one to three against three judging criteria: execution, creativity, and overall appeal. Smiles by the Sea scored a perfect 21 of 21 possible points.”
