Supporting Bahamas Relief Efforts at Surf's Up Candle

Surf's Up Candle in Belmar, New Jersey, is sponsoring a special ladies-night-out event on Thursday, September 12, in support of Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in the Bahamas.

According to the shop's owner, Michelle Fontanez, all shoppers will receive 25 percent off their entire store-wide purchase when they bring a donated item from the below list of needed supplies:

• Personal care items
• Diapers
• Cleaning supplies
• Bottled water
• Adult and children's clothing
• First-aid supplies
• Non-perishable items

"I love the Bahamas. It is my go-to spot for a quick get away," Fontanez says. "The people are always amazing. I felt so bad for them and just wanted to do anything we could to help."

Surf's Up Candle is open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Light refreshments and beverages will also be served between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. during the September 12 event. A second Surf's Up Candle location in Annapolis, Maryland, is also participating in the ladies-night-out benefit for the Bahamas.
