2 Dogs Missing Following Thursday House Fire In Morganville: PD

While two individuals were able to escape a house fire in Morganville, two pets are still unaccounted for, police said.

MARLBORO, NJ - A Thursday morning house fire in the Morganville section of Marlboro saw all individuals inside the home safely flee the blaze, according to authorities. However, two four-legged family members are still unaccounted for.

Authorities responded to a report of a fire at 33 Regina Road at around 11:05 a.m., Marlboro police said in a statement. While the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature, an investigation is underway to determine the cause.

Two family members were home at the time of the blaze, both of which were able to flee safely.
Two dogs were also inside the residence at the time of the fire. Ptl. Pawel Wcislo entered the residence in an attempt to rescue the dogs but was unsuccessful and was later treated at a local hospital for minor smoke inhalation.

Tennent Road at the intersection of Duncan Drive and Regina Road at the intersection of Vancouver Road were briefly closed Thursday afternoon.

Alongside the Marlboro Township Police Department, responders from the Robertsville
Volunteer Fire Company, Marlboro Fire Department, Morganville Fire Department, Gordons Corner Fire Company, East Freehold Fire Company, Adelphia Fire Company, Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, Marlboro Fire Prevention, Marlboro First Aid Squad, Morganville First Aid Squad and Western Monmouth EMS responded to the scene.
