3 Monmouth County Seniors Win Art Awards
Congratulations to the Hazlet, Marlboro & Ocean Township seniors for their first place prizes!

Three Monmouth County seniors took home first place prices in the 2016 statewide senior citizen art contests.
“It is great to see these talented artists recognized at the State level for their truly exceptional work,” said Freeholder John P. Curley, liaison to the Monmouth County Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans’ Affairs. “Every year, our seniors show great enthusiasm as they bring a lifetime worth of experience to life through their artwork. We are proud of all our artists.”
Over 200 entries were submitted in professional and nonprofessional categories.

Michael Ferrara, of Hazlet, won first place for Drawing - Non-Professional for his drawing, "Farmer's Wife 1930's."
Pastel- Professional first place went to Marlboro's Sharon Steinhorn for her painting "Peaching."

Sol Hara, Ocean, took home first place in Pastel-Nonprofesssional for "Li River, China."
