Alleged Colts Neck Bank Robber Indicted on Armed Robbery Charges

The alleged robber of a Chase Bank in Colts Neck this year has been indicted by a Monmouth County Grand Jury.
Waleed A. Saleh, 32 of Staten Island was arrested in February after being caught on camera in the bank, showing a weapon. The FBI found Saleh in a Sheraton Hotel in Alabama, after a  joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Colts Neck Police Department Detective Richard Zarrillo.
The robbery occurred Feb. 21, when Salah allegedly received the cash from the bank, he then allegedly fled in a dark two-door Infiniti with New York license plates. Police said the car headed south on Route 34, then north on Route 18.
Salah was indicted on one charge of armed robbery, one count of the possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, one count of unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of the possession of an imitation firearm.
Saleh is being held in the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bail.Â
