Celebrate Walnford Day In Upper Freehold May 19

UPPER FREEHOLD, NJ — Next Sunday, May 19 take the kids — and yourself! — to learn about Monmouth County's rich, beautiful agricultural history, some of which is still being preserved in western Monmouth today.
The Monmouth County Park System is celebrating Walnford Day on Sunday, May 19 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Historic Walnford, Walnford Road in Upper Freehold. During this family-friendly event, visitors can see demonstrations and displays of historical crafts, trades, music and art that illustrate cutting edge technology from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Hands-on activities include riding in a horse-drawn wagon, writing with a quill pen, and exploring the 19th century gristmill and elegant Waln family home. The stately farmhouse, known as the historic Walnford House, consists of four floors of grand period architecture.
